The claim file

Filing your Lowe's claim so the clocks start right.

A Lowe's claim is filed in a few minutes at lowesprotect.com or 1-888-77-LOWES (56937) — but how you file it decides what the claim is worth later. The words used at intake become the record every reviewer grades: the failure description, the discovery date, whether this is the same issue as last time. File it like the file it becomes.

Before you file

During the filing

  1. Say "same issue" if it is the same issue — the lemon count is per problem, and intake notes that split one problem into two cost you the count.
  2. Get the claim number and write it down with the date and time. Every clock on this site counts from the claim.
  3. Ask what the first appointment window is, and note the answer. (Fridges: the 72-hour rental trigger now runs from this claim — approval before renting, always.)
  4. If the appliance already has repairs in its history, state the count on this call: "This is the third failure of the same issue; two covered repairs are on record." Said once, on the record, it follows the claim.

After the filing

Log the claim the day you file it: number, date, the words you used, the appointment promised. The checker will count your clocks from these dates — the 72-hour rental trigger, the 14-day payment (not on fridges), the lemon count — and the deadline calendar shows them all on one page.

Count your own case. The free checker takes your store, your plan date, your repair history, and your dates — and returns your lemon count, your live clocks, and the money the plan owes. Run the checker →
