The claim file
The portal gives you a status word; the status word is written by the side that benefits from your patience. Here is what the common statuses mean in practice, which ones are clocks running in your favor, and the point at which a status stops being information and becomes a stall you should escalate in writing.
| Status | What it usually means | Your move |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduled / appointment set | A service company has the job and a date exists. | Confirm what the visit is — repair or diagnosis only. A diagnosis visit may not move your lemon count; ask, and log the answer. |
| Parts ordered / awaiting parts | The repair is real; the part is the wait. | Start counting claim age. Your clocks (speed guarantee already settled at scheduling; spoilage; escalation at 30 days) run from the claim date, not the part's promise date. |
| Under review / pending determination | A decision about repair vs. replacement is being made — often at the lemon line. | State your count in writing through the portal: repairs, dates, same issue. Reviews grade what is on the record. |
| Closed — repaired | They believe a repair completed the claim. | If the appliance is not actually fixed, dispute the closure in writing immediately, with the continuing symptom documented. A wrong closure is correctable; a silent one hardens. See claim closed. |
| Closed — no fault found | A visit found nothing; the claim closed on that visit. | That visit likely did not count as a repair. Log your symptom occurrences and escalate with the pattern — see no fault found. |
Not sure which clock you're on? The checker reads your dates and repair history and returns every live clock at once.
Count your own case. The free checker takes your store, your plan date, your repair history, and your dates — and returns your lemon count, your live clocks, and the money the plan owes. Run the checker →
The pages above are the map. The kit is the paperwork: the repair log that proves the count, the script for your administrator, and the complaint pack for when the stall continues.
